Sports Massage &
Management Of Injurys
Restore balance. Prevent injury. Support your body’s natural healing.

What is Sports Massage?
Sports massage is a deeper, more focused form of massage therapy designed to target specific muscles and soft tissue areas that are under stress – whether from regular exercise, manual work, or even prolonged sitting. It’s not just for athletes – it’s for anyone who wants to move better, reduce discomfort, and maintain a healthier, more balanced body.
Over 80% of injuries are caused by muscle imbalance, not trauma. Sports massage can help correct these imbalances by easing tight or overworked muscles and encouraging underused muscles to activate again. It helps improve flexibility, posture, and range of motion – and can also be a powerful aid in recovery from injury by working alongside your body’s natural healing process.
Benefits of Sports Massage:
• Prevent injury by correcting muscle imbalances
• Aid recovery after exercise or injury
• Improve circulation and flexibility
• Reduce tension, inflammation, and pain
• Relieve “knots” and trigger points
• Rebalance your muscular system
• Improve posture and movement
• Support peak performance – at any age

Who Is It For?
• People recovering from a sports injury or surgery
• Anyone managing repetitive strain or postural pain
• Those experiencing neck, back, or shoulder tension
• Runners, cyclists, gym-goers – but also desk-workers, gardeners and busy parents!
You don’t have to be sporty – just someone who wants to feel better in their body.
What to Expect During Your Treatment:
Each treatment is tailored to you. I’ll start by chatting through any injuries, tension, or discomfort you’re experiencing. I may assess posture or movement if needed. You’ll be made comfortable on the massage table, and I’ll always check pressure levels with you as we go.
This is a hands-on, results-focused treatment, but it doesn’t need to be painful. While we may work through some tight spots, I always work within your comfort zone to ensure your experience is both effective and respectful of your body.
Aftercare Advice:
You may feel a little tender or sleepy afterwards – this is normal and usually passes quickly. I’ll give you tailored advice after your treatment, such as stretches or hydration tips to help you get the most from your session. Regular treatments can support long-term improvements in movement, posture, and injury prevention.
